video and the route.<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The experimental video loop contains footage shot on a fieldwork expedition on the Susquehanna River near Owego, NY. The duo was in NY in the summer of 2019 on a Signal Culture residency. They commissioned a local river guide to lead a four-hour drift boat trip to record ambient conditions and measure water chemistry in the seven miles from Owego to Apalachin NY.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Experimental video effects were applied at the analog video suite at the <a href=\"http:\/\/signalculture.org\/\">Signal Culture<\/a> studio. The video footage from the Susquehanna River was modified from the data taken by sensors in the river. Artist and Lost in the Weeds curator, <a href=\"http:\/\/faculty.mercer.edu\/coleman_c\/index.html\">Craig Coleman<\/a> said:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p><strong><em>The video piece Untitled (water data and sensor-driven abstractions), 2021 uses data gathered with experimental sensor prototypes to affect optical surveys of the Susquehanna River. Applying the data from the site to optical footage from the same site, literally shows how information can change one\u2019s perspective of the observable world.
